Introduction:

Much to our surprise, there have been emerging applications for what we had called our silicon nitride membrane window grids but without the membranes. Yes, we have customers who want the "frame" but with no membrane present, just a hole.

The way to make such a product is to take an existing membrane window and etch away completely the nitride, leaving the desired product without membrane. And that is the reason why the silicon windows are actually a bit more costly than the silicon nitride membrane window grids.

What other customers order when ordering silicon nitride membrane window grids:
A substantial number of membrane grid customer order tweezers (to safely pick them up). and additional grid storage boxes for storing the prepared grids.
