For quartz crystal thickness monitors manufactured by SPI Supplies, Polaron
Equipment Ltd., Watford, UK (before 1982), and by Bio-Rad Laboratories
Microscience Division (1982-1992). Crystals are gold coated, 0.490" (12.4mm)
diameter x 0.013" (0.33mm) thick, for operation at 5 MHz. These crystals
are specially designed for use in above thickness monitors and might not
work in other monitors depending on the electrode placement.
