In low energy electron point source microscopy, a perforated foil with a
regular pattern is required in order to be able to resolve an object which
is suspended over a hole. An object can not be seen from the support in the
case of conventional hole carbon film. H.-W. Fink and C. Schönenberger
(Univ. of Basel) used Quantifoil hole carbon foils for the measurement of
