Introduction:
The Bulk Purchase™ TEM grids are, so far as we know, an SPI exclusive. No one has ever offered in bulk TEM grids to high volume laboratories. These are top rate grids, made in the same facilities as the very well known Maxtaform^® and Graticules^® brand of grids. About the only thing that is different is that these grids have not been "inspected" to the same degree as the "regular" Graticules grids.
What the consequences of reduced inspection?
The only "consequence" is that there might be found, from time to time, a grid that has not been fully formed, for example, there might be one or two broken grid bars. Now is that really a problem? We don't think so because this is so rare, one really has to look and look until they find such a defect grid. But just in case one might think they are going to end up with less than 100 usable TEM grids, we overfill the vials so that each vial contains not 100 grids, but contains a total if 120 grids!

How can I sample and evaluate the Bulk Purchase™ TEM grids without buying a huge quantity?
SPI Supplies does not give out free samples of our products. However, we do have the grids available in a "sample pack" for a very nominal price. Feel free to try out the sample pack before placing a larger order. Or purchase a Bulk Purchase package and if you are not satisfied for any reason, we will happily permit the return of the unused grids for credit or refund of money paid.
