Specially cut 3.05 mm discs to fit into a standard TEM grid holder

Introduction:
HOPG (highly ordered pyrolytic graphic) is quickly becoming the substrate of choice for a growing number of researchers studying molecular species, self-assembling arrays, nano particles, nano tubes and nano fibers of varying chemical compositions, just to name a few examples. SPI Supplies is now offering the widest range of HOPG products in the world and only recently, have the scientific staff at SPI Supplies developed an economical method for the cutting of 3.05 mm discs of uniform thickness of all three forms of HOPG.

Preparation of the discs:
We offer the discs in two different qualities of HOPG, Grades SPI-1 and SPI- 3. We presently offer the products in packs of 20 and 100 grids, in part because of the high cost of the package itself. We apologize for the apparently high cost of the discs but their manufacture is very labor intensive, but we are constantly working to develop more efficient production methods which could lead to a lowering of the selling prices.
