SPI Supplies^® Brand Filaments and Electron Sources

SPI Supplies now has under development and plans to introduce later on in 2007, our own line of LaB6 and field emission (FE) cathodes. We have waiting this long for these product introductions because we want our products to be comparable to or better than the best but because of our highly efficient website distribution platform, we can offer them at substantial savings over the prices charged by the traditional providers of these products.

We are often times asked about the "differences" between these different types of electron beam sources. Of course, such questions are the subject of entire chapters in text books. But we can offer some information for those looking less for a technical kind of answer but more importantly an understandable one.
