A word of caution before trying to bring this material to a residential address
We know that there are some legitimate applications for sodium hydroxide, outside
of the laboratory environment, such as for amateur soap-making. It is not our
intention to put up unreasonable barriers to those with reasonable applications
for this material.
However, its use has also
been documented for the illegal production of
gamma hydroxy butyrate (GHB). It is the policy of SPI
Supplies to not sell this material to anyone we believe might be involved in
the illegal drug trade or in the illegal manufacturing of GHB and that any
suspect orders will be reported to the US Drug Enforcement Administration
(DEA) at once.
We appreciate very much the business that is given to us by our worldwide base
of customers, however, we feel very strongly that we must be exercising due
diligence to make sure that any of our products do not end up being used for
illegal activities. Questions about this policy are handled personally
by our company president.
