Durcupan® ACM Epoxy Resin Kit (Not water soluble)

Originally popularized in Europe, produces blocks of varying hardness to match sample under study. Virtually no shrinkage exhibits low viscosity but not quite as low as the SPI # 02809 Durcupan water soluble kit below.

Note the special precautions that should be taken to get maximum shelf life out of the DMP-30.

Durcupan® Water Soluble Epoxy Resin Kit

This is a completely water soluble embedding kit, meaning that absolutely no declaration is needed. It is also considered ultra low viscosity for the very best of infiltration. It is very popular with those working with immunogold procedures on samples with the most fragile of antigenic sites.

Note that the DMP-30 in the formulation, has a relatively short shelf life, but, there are precautions one can take to lengthen it, thereby mitigating in some respects that one particular disadvantage.
