SPI-Chem™ Uranyl Acetate and Lead Acetate

Some hints from the experts

Spanish

If one is not careful, it is possible to get significant contamination from either uranyl acetate (UA) or lead acetate (PbA) on the final specimens. Naturally one looks to the obvious, and make sure that there has not been any change in the various items being used in the preparations. But when all else is considered, and the problem still persists, take a look at the water.

Most laboratories use some kind of a reverse osmosis deionization system for the water and should there be a failure in the operation of the system, so the quality of the water coming out is not what is expected, serious problems of contamination and precipitation can occur.
