Introduction
BBI Gold Conjugates are made to the highest possible specification and will
give the best possible results in all applications when correctly used. This
booklet is designed to help achieve the best results by giving attention to
specimen preparation, choice of gold conjugate and incubation conditions with
different specimen types. It is not comprehensive. Many books and articles
have been written describing the extensive techniques of immunogold
labeling. This booklet will, however, endeavour to describe the fundamental
factors which influence the result that can be obtained, suggest a number of
commonly used protocols, and point to solutions to common problems.
