These glove boxes are designed to be just what they are called, that is, they really are "basic." They are produced in two different sizes and are engineered to fit general laboratory isolation applications. And for special requirements, they can be easily modified for specific applications situations. This Basic Glove Box does not include the drying and circulation features of the Nitrogen Glove Box.
Units are very handy for isolating sensitive research studies from a hostile exterior environment and exposing the materials under study only to a very highly controlled kind of environment. The box is economical, as well as very compact, portable, lightweight and of course, is also completely self-contained.
A number of optional accessories are also available for use with this unit.
While our initial experience with these boxes was for work with special catalyst samples that could not be exposed to oxygen or moisture, there are numerous applications well beyond that of the microscope laboratory:
