Example of Use of Small Hole Apertures

Data of Prof. Phillip H. Geil, University of Illinois

Characterization of single crystals of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polymerized at 225 °C, 6 hours. Results show that only half of the twinned crystals contribute to the diffraction patter at any given time. Results obtained using SPI 2 µm gold foil thin film aperture. See J. Macromol. Sci. - Phys., B36(1), 61-85 (1997).
