Use only the perfect hole for your most demanding needs for highest
resolution!
When it comes to gold foil thin film apertures, no one makes them like SPI!
Take a look and see for yourself! All four micrographs are of the same
aperture hole, 15 µm but at different viewing angles and different
magnifications.
Taken at zero tilt, low vs. higher magnification
15 µm hole
Taken at 45° tilt, low vs. higher magnification
15 µm hole 45° Tilt
Note that even at this magnification, either looking straight on at zero
tilt or at 45°, one can see only a smooth edge at the hole. There is not
the slightest hint of any edge tears, wrinkles, or even pin-holes. Are the
gold foil apertures you might be presently using exhibiting this kind of
quality? No apertures leave our facilities without careful inspections all
along the way, including routine inspections of standard production on our
own in-house SEM equipment.
