First Egyptian Congress on EM

The First Egyptian Congress on Electron Microscopy was held 13-15 September, 1995 at Suez Canal University under the Organizing Committee chaired by Prof . Dr. Khalifa Ibrahim Khalifa, Faculty of Medicine, Electron Microscopy Center, Ismailia. Attendees were present from throughout the Middle East and invited speakers from USA, Europe, and Japan presented papers on a wide range of topics. We present two views taken from the exhibition of scientific equipment; all of the leading manufacturers of equipment for the electron microscope laboratory were represented.

With the exhibit stand showing SPI products in the foreground, and the exhibit stand for JEOL in the background, a small group of scientific attendees posed for this photo. During the exhibition, Mr. Hamdy Elakkad was demonstrating some of the latest EDS software from Oxford Instruments.
